"The Afternoon Party" is the political party you have been waiting for.
Founded by 612-ABC Brisbane and Coast FM Afternoons presenter Kelly Higgins-Devine and her trusty deputy Chris Welsh, "The Afternoon Party" or TAP refuses to take a backward step from it's commitment to:
"Making Promises We Can't Keep"
In a deliberate move away from the traditional campaigning styles of Australian politicians, The Afternoon Party has no plans to hit the hustings in regional and rural Queensland. This has nothing to do with the fact that we have no budget and no plane. Instead we will focus our limited attention on the south-east corner.
Over the coming weeks, we will release our core and non-core promises on issues that really matter to the community such as humidity control, teenage hairstyles, mandatory tattoo licences, reality tv shows, regulation of lycra for cyclist and political party leaders and harsh jail sentences for illegal and inappropriate use of the word "like".
Stayed tuned to 612-ABC Brisbane & Coast FM, for your opportunity to be a part of this vibrant new entry to the Queensland political landscape.
